Overview: Buku ini berisi berbagai tulisan yang digarap bersama oleh anggota masyarakat Kabupaten Dairi, Sumatra Utara, dengan Tim YDPK yang menceritakan lika-liku perjuangan merebut kembali ruang hidup mereka yang dirampas oleh pertambangan timah dan seng PT DPM. Sejak beroperasi pada 1998, kerakusan PT DPM telah memicu terjadinya dua bencana besar yang merenggut nyawa dan memusnahkan alam yang menjadi sumber penghidupan warga Dairi yang utamanya bekerja sebagai petani dan peternak. Pada 2012 terjadi kebocoran limbah yang menyebabkan rusaknya sumber air minum, irigasi, dan budidaya ikan mas warga, lalu pada 2018 terjadi bencana longsor dan banjir bandang akibat penebangan hutan serta lubang bor tambang yang tidak ditutup. Melalui buku ini, masyarakat Dairi bersama YDPK yang mengadvokasikannya tidak hanya berbagi cerita keprihatinan atas perampasan dan penghancuran ruang hidup mereka, tetapi utamanya membagikan optimisme perjuangan melindungi ciptaan-Nya dengan berlandaskan keimanan dan kepercayaan akan masa depan yang lebih baik bagi anak cucu.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.

I was pleasantly surprised. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. A solid 5/5 for me.

Pretty good overall. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. A solid 4 stars from me.
