Overview: Dengan sistim pendidikan seperti sekarang, nilai-nilai yang seharusnya menjadi perlengkapan manusia Indonésia buat menghadapi terjangan globalisasi dengan kearifan lokal, tidaklah kita punyai. Pendidikan melalui sekolah-sekolah kita lebih banyak memperkenalkan anak didik kita dengan kebudayaan Barat daripada membuat meréka agar mengenal kebudayaan warisan nénék moyangnya. Dengan demikian bangsa kita tidak mempunyai nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam warisan kebudayaan leluhurnya—yang tidak sempat diperkenalkan kepada meréka melalui pendidikan formal maupun nonformal.
