Overview: A collection of True Crime... How did someone with the perfect family and the perfect life make it to the FBI’s top ten most wanted list? Something drove this man to murder, and experts are still piecing things together, even decades later. His motives have never been truly explained but there are many theories. On the morning of March 1, 1976 Bishop went into work expecting good news regarding a promotion. That same afternoon he saw that he was not receiving the promotion he was initially expecting. There was a memo posted in a hallway of the State Departments office listing all of the new promotions, he was not on the list. Upon seeing the list Bishop was heard saying the position should have gone to him, but it went to their co-worker instead. He later told his supervisor that he was sick and left the office complaining of a cold. Looking back on the day in March of 1965 investigators have been able to obtain documents from a security evaluation he performed right before the promotions. This document described Bradford Bishop as being week in his ability to make judgments, having a lack of flexibility, and the inability to apply common sense to certain situations. After the evaluation the security professional who performed this test concluded that he was reluctant to recommend Bishop for a promotion to the next level as a Foreign Service Officer. What happened between the time he left his office and the time he got home could have very well been a psychological break. After leaving the office he stopped at his local American Security bank at 2:00 pm, where he withdrew a four hundred dollars in cash. He was seen leaving the bank and heading towards the Montgomery Mall. Although, this was not the normal everyday shopping spree, Bishop bought a brand new sledgehammer and a five-gallon gas can, from Sears. On his way home from the mall he stopped at the local Texaco gas station, where he filled both his gas tank and the tank of his Station Wagon. His next stop was the local hardware store, where he bought a brand new shovel and pitchfork....and thus began his murderous spree...

Such a great read. The author did a great job wrapping everything up at the end. No weird plot holes left behind. Worth the time and money.
