Overview: On the surface, this book is about teens who live in the country and their various forms of transportation. In reality, this book is about young adults and their cultures, because vehicles play an important role in the social interactions of teens. For most rural youth, living apart from mass transportation, cars and other vehicles are critical to getting back and forth to school, work, and social events. Rural teens living on farms or ranches also use trucks, ATVs (all-terrain vehicles), and snowmobiles for work purposes. For many teens and their families, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and ATVs provide recreation as well, and for still other teens, their vehicles enable them to participate in legal and official race competitions. Some teens pour their time and energy into customizing their rides, so transportation becomes art and part of their identity. It was just alright. It had some good moments, but the overall plot felt a bit disjointed in the second half. A generous 3 stars.

Honestly one of the better books I've read lately. I loved how the story unfolded. It kept me guessing without being too confusing. Will be looking for more from this author.

Took me a few chapters to get into it, but it was worth it. The middle dragged a tiny bit, but the ending totally made up for it. Not bad at all.

Pretty good overall. Interesting premise and executed fairly well. Just a few slow chapters here and there. Not bad at all.
