La scrittura non era mai automatica, […] rappresentava una impresa collaborativa tra Bill e me, e molto del suo significato, ne sono sicura, si trova in questo». Organizzata come un vero e proprio “programma di insegnamento”, quest'opera ha lo scopo di insegnarci a modificare la nostra percezione distorta, basata sulla separazione, sull'attacco e sulla colpa: un modo di pensare che ci cattura e ci intrappola in un sogno. Nel libro viene insegnato un metodo – definito perdono - per capovolgere radicalmente questo sistema di pensiero errato e uscire dalla trappola dell'ego, allo scopo di raggiungere un'autentica pace interiore e vivere in modo più sereno le proprie relazioni. Il volume intende essere una guida spirituale e un manuale di autoapprendimento per raggiungere una diversa percezione di noi stessi e del mondo. A very satisfying read. It has a good balance of dialogue and description. Everything felt like it moved at the right speed. Definitely recommend it if you like this genre.
